WHAT EXACTLY DOES A MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT DO?
We help assess where efficiencies can be achieved, where real problems versus assumed problems can be identified, and to help find the facts about a specific situation. Many times, an administrator or director of nursing will call us, say that he or she knows something just isn't right, but cannot quite articulate the problem. We are skilled in observation and interviewing skills and can usually identify the problem and find the facts that are associated with the problem. Sometimes we validate what the administration already knew, and other times we identify new problems, or rule out perceived problems.

We deal well with staff on any level, and use an objective, straightforward approach in working with all members of the facility team. We are on the side of the facility, and take seriously our responsibility to make sure the client knows what the facts are. We give recommendations about our findings and can assist in preparing action plans, or in implementation of those plans. We provide the following resources to gain problem resolution:

  • forms
  • policies
  • documentation tools
  • inservice programs
  • counseling
  • and advice based upon all of our experiences
